PREPARATION!

That is the key to success my friends. It is so much easier to make good choices when you are prepared.

We all get tired and busy sometimes. And when we do it is so much easier just to slip through the drive thru as opposed to going home and making a nutritious meal. And then more often then not one slip up becomes an excuse to write off the rest of the day. And before we know it we are elbow deep in a bucket of ice cream trying to figure out how we got there.
.
.
Avoid these opportunities for slip ups by being well prepared. Here are a few simple strategies to keep you on track
.
.
1. Keep good food in the house. Throw the bad stuff out. Because if they stay there…you will eat them.
2. If you don’t want to meal prep every meal in advance, have a few on hand that you can pop in the slow cooker to be ready when you need them, or some to reheat easily when you are rushed.
3. Pre wash and cut some veggies so they are available when you want something crunchy to snack on.
4. Carry a water bottle with you, so you stay hydrated throughout the day. If it is in sight you WILL drink it.

Here is a look into a few of our staples in our fridge and cupboard at all times. Filtered water, spinach or some mixed green for salad, broccoli, apples, oranges, lemons, limes, eggs, Greek yogurt, cucumber, onion, cottage cheese, protein powder, vitamins, BCAAS, tons of spices to keep our food delicious and interesting without all the high calorie sauces, sweet potato, spaghetti squash, oats, quinoa, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar.
